The Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway has been postponed by rain. The race has been rescheduled for noon on Monday, and will be televised then on SPEED. The regular SPEED talent of Rick Allen, Phil Parsons, and Michael Waltrip will be in the booth at Martinsville on Monday, when they will be joined by Adam Alexander and Krista Voda in the pits. Also rained out today were both scheduled NASCAR Sprint Cup practice sessions. The good news is that the forecast is good for Sunday's Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville.

The collective sigh of relief heard following Martinsville Speedway’s Kroger 250 came from a number of teams new to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series which did not possess locked-in positions based on the 2008 series owners’ championship standings. Two of those teams — Randy Moss Motorsports and Red Horse Racing — have past champions in their trucks so they weren’t exactly working without a net. The switch to 2009 points, however, gives both Benson and Mike Skinner (No. 5 Bad Boy Mowers Toyota) top-30 positions.
