Although my No. 23 Bill Davis Racing Toyota team lost the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points lead to Ron Hornaday last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway and now trails by 39 points, we're not complaining too loudly. Talladega is just Talladega and there is only so much you can do about it. It's one of those races where a lot can go wrong that is none of your doing. You rely on others, to a degree, for a good finish, and that always presents its own unique challenges. We knew going into Talladega that the race and its pitfalls could work 100-percent for us or 100-percent against us. Approaching a race, our team's mindset needs to be such that we try not to open ourselves up to a situation that will ultimately hurt us. (VPS Motorimages Photo)

"Hello, NASCAR fans. As most of you may already know, the Kevin Harvick Inc. No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Silverado team has been on a hot streak lately in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. After some bad luck at Bristol, we were in second place in the point standings, 119 points behind Johnny Benson and the No. 23 Bill Davis Racing team. But we found Victory Lane at Gateway International Raceway for our fourth win and New Hampshire Motor Speedway the next week for our fifth win in 2008. We followed up the back-to-back wins with a solid fifth-place run at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and headed to Talladega Superspeedway only one point out of the lead." - Ron Hornaday, Jr., No. 33 Kevin Harvick, Inc. NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France and Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis announced Thursday that Camping World will become the title sponsor of what is now known as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series beginning in 2009. The seven-year agreement gives Camping World the exclusive rights to sponsor the series, which features 25 points events at 23 tracks across North America. All NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races will be broadcast live on SPEED or FOX, which will result in over $100 million worth of exposure for the new title sponsor. "Camping World has a unique connection to the sport and to the NASCAR fans," said NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France. "Camping and tailgating is an essential part of the NASCAR race experience. Thousands of RVs pack the campgrounds at every NASCAR event, often for three or four days at a time. This makes Camping World the perfect match for the NASCAR Truck Series."
