Rick Crawford earned the pole for the Chevy Silverado 350k NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race with a lap of 178.826 miles per hour with a 30.197 second average lap time during Thursday evening's 7-Eleven Qualifying session at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Crawford, driver of the No. 14 Circle Bar/Powerstroke Diesel by Int'l Ford, nipped Cale Gale by .008 of a second to score his first pole award in 22 starts at Texas Motor Speedway, improving on his previous-best start of second recorded in the NCTS summer events of 2003 and '05. It was Crawford's fifth pole of his Truck Series career and first since Martinsville in October of 2005. Gale, No. 2 American Commercial Lines Chevrolet, qualified second with a lap of 178.778 mph at 30.205 seconds and No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts/NOS Energy Toyota driver Kyle Busch was third at 178.183 mph with a 30.306 sec. average lap time. Roush-Fenway Ford Racing Rookie Colin Braun led the trio of Texans qualifying for the Chevy Silverado 350k. Ron Hornaday Jr. flashed the form that's made him a three-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, dominating the final 50 laps of the Chevrolet Silverado 350K to win his second NCTS race at Texas Motor Speedway and sixth overall this season. In the process, Hornaday cut the points lead he's been trading back and forth all season with Johnny Benson, who finished the Halloween night third in the race. With just two races to go in the Truck season, Benson now leads Hornaday by just 6 points. Finishing second behind Hornaday was Kyle Busch's Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra, followed by Benson, who made a last-lap pass of Todd Bodine's Lumber Liquidators Toyota. Completing the top five was the Con-Way Freight Ford F-150 of Colin Braun.
