Female driver to make NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at Kansas Speedway -
Kansas City native Jennifer Jo Cobb knew from the first shovel of dirt at ground-breaking, and the first wave of the green flag, that she would race at Kansas Speeedway. And race there she has. Cobb's seat time on the track started in 2002 with her first race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, advanced to the former NASCAR Busch Series, and this month, she makes her debut into the always hard-charging NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. But Cobb's appearance in the NCTS isn't the only new face at the Kansas race. She'll be piloting the #74 Dodge Ram of former Daytona 500 winner, Derrike Cope, and his newly-founded NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team.

‘Shane Sieg to Pilot No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Billy Ballew Motorsports Tundra in Kansas’ -
Shane Sieg will replace Kyle Busch as drive of the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Billy Ballew Motorsports Toyota Tundra in Kansas. Busch, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular, has piloted the Tundra in the first four races of the season holding the Championship point lead already scoring two wins (California and Atlanta). Busch most recently won last weekend's Natiowide race in Mexico, extending his win-streak to three in NASCAR's mid-tier series. For the first time since the beginning of the 2008 NASCAR Season the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck Series have not run in companion.

Will Chad McCumbee become the fifth under-25 winner of Saturday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway? If the 23-year-old McCumbee's recent performances on intermediate tracks are any indication, the answer could be yes. He nearly won last fall in Texas before contact with Jack Sprague knocked McCumbee from the lead on a green-white-checker restart. McCumbee has led two of the three most recent races on 1.5-mile speedways including last month's stop at Atlanta Motor Speedway where the Supply, N.C., native finished a career-best fifth. He qualified on the front row at Texas Motor Speedway and Atlanta. (VPS Motorimages)

After a season-high four-week break, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to action this weekend at Kansas Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250, race No. 5 in the 25-race 2008 schedule. For the first time all season, NCTS points leader and two-time race winner Kyle Busch is skipping this weekend's Truck race to concentrate on the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series festivities at Talladega Superspeedway. Busch's seat in the all-conquering Billy Ballew Racing Toyota Tundra will be filled this weekend by 25-year-old Georgia native Shane Sieg. And while the Truck regulars will still have to deal with what so far has been the most successful vehicle in the series, at least they won't have to deal with the winningest driver in NASCAR. Sieg has competed in 27 races since 2003 with a best finish of eighth at The Milwaukee Mile. He drove Ballew's No. 15 truck three times last season, finishing 10th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. "With Kyle's schedule at Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend, there was no way he could make the race in Kansas," Ballew said. "We looked at all the scenarios but it just wasn't feasible. Shane has driven for us before and is familiar with the equipment." (VPS Motorimages Photo for TruckSeries.com)

Kansas Win Sets The Table For Successful Season - Win the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 and odds are excellent you'll finish high in the final standings. The Kansas Speedway winner has gone on to log a top-10 finish in six of the seven seasons the 1.5-mile track has been a part of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck schedule. Mike Bliss also won the 2002 championship; four other Kansas winners — including 2006 champion Todd Bodine (No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota) — finished among the final top five. Bliss, currently a NASCAR Nationwide Series competitor, is the only driver to win multiple times in Kansas. He captured the final of five races at nearby Heartland Park Topeka, a 2.1-mile road course, in 1999.

Defending series champion Ron Hornaday Jr. scored an utterly dominating victory from the pole in Saturday night's O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway. Hornaday's Camping World No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado survived a record number of cautions to best his KHI teammate Jack Sprague, who finished second in his No. 2 American Commercial Lines Chevy, ahead of the No. 6 Con-way Freight Ford F-150 of rookie Colin Braun, who finished a career-best third. Johnny Benson was fourth in his Toyota. "We raised the bar last year when we won the championship," said Hornaday's crew chief, Rick Ren. "That 33 Camping World Chevrolet fell out of the truck fast yesterday and hasn't slowed since then." (Ronda Greer/NASCAR Photo)
