Steve Keller/TruckSeries.com Photo
Good morning from soggy Martinsville Speedway where persistent showers have dampened the track but not the spirits of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams and drivers assembled for this morning practice session scheduled for 11:00 am ET. No official changes have been made to today's schedule, but its unlikely we'll get on-track at 11.
Practice Delayed But Not Forgotten
10-19-2007 11:20 am
All scheduled practice sessions are on-hold until the weather clears out and it takes approximately 45 minutes to dry the track once the rain subsides. NASCAR has indicated we'll wait out the weather all day in order to give the teams and drivers time to practice. Furthermore, NASCAR is willing to come in tomorrow morning before Bud Pole Qualifying at 11: 10 am ET and run a practice session.
Twelve (12) teams need to qualify on time and NASCAR is determined to provide at least one practice session prior to qualifying on Saturday morning. Teams outside the Top-30 in Owner Points are required to qualify on time in order to make the 36 truck field.

Track Was Hot, Now its Not
10-19-2007 1:34 pm
Nextel Cup Series practice has been delayed once again due a quick cloud burst that soaked the racing surface. The good news is that skies have cleared enough to allow jet dryers back onto the track and we expect to resume Cup practice shortly.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice is still on for 2:40 pm ET.
