Former Formula 1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve made his debut behind the wheel of a Bill Davis Racing Toyota Tundra machine Monday and Tuesday at Chicagoland Speedway. Villeneuve, who has not raced on an oval track since 1995, when he won both the Indianapolis 500 and the CART Indy Car Championship, spent Monday acclimating himself to the No. 27 truck. After watching teammate Mike Skinner run a few laps, Villeneuve hit the track in his Tundra. By his 12th lap, Villeneuve's lap time was 31.67 seconds around the 1.5-mile tri-oval and within six tenths of a second of Skinner's times. (Team PR Photo)

Jackie Mohrfeld didn't know she would love working in a major motorsports series; in fact, until she was in college at Texas A&M University, she didn't know anything about the sport. Now she climbs on the pitbox of the No. 33 Camping World Silverado team driven by two-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday every race as the GM Racing engineer assigned to the team to lend critical support. A native of Houston, TX, Mohrfeld attended and graduated from Texas A&M. Her first entry in to the racing world was a Texas A&M Formula SAE project. In 2000, the team won its first championship in only its second year of competition. (GM Racing Photo)

In 15 races this season, only one thing has remained a constant - Mike Skinner leading a lap. Skinner has led the field in every race this season, including 102 laps during the last race at Nashville Superspeedway. Those laps led on the 1.333-mile track pushed Skinner's miles led to over 1,000 for the season, the fifth time the feat has been accomplished in series history. Skinner previously had reached 1,000 miles led in 1996 and finished third in the standings. It was the only time a driver led over 1,000 miles and failed to win the championship. The only thing more difficult than winning a short- track race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is winning more than once on a short track. Since 2001, only three drivers have won more than one short-track race in the same season - Jack Sprague (No. 60 Conway Freight Toyota) (2006 - Memphis Motorsports Park and Martinsville Speedway), Mike Skinner (No. 5 Toyota Tundra Toyota) (2005 - Bristol and Richmond International Raceway) and Dennis Setzer (No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet) (2003 - Mesa Marin Raceway, Martinsville and South Boston Speedway). Based on his 2006 finish, Johnny Benson in his No. 23 Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Toyota entered the Toyota Tundra 200 as the pre-race favorite. Like so many before him in the series, Benson came away disappointed. He not only failed to win, but exited early due to an accident and finished 30th. Travis Kvapil, driving the No. 6 K&N Filters Ford, became Nashville Superspeedway's seventh consecutive different winner as the 1.333-mile track continued as one of 10 series tracks without a repeat winner. It certainly wasn't this way in 2006 when Todd Bodine in the No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Toyota and Johnny Benson effectively staggered to the finish. Bodine won the title by building an early lead and held off Benson, who failed to take advantage of Bodine's late season slump. That's not going to be the case this year, says Bodine, who currently ranks fourth in the standings to leader Mike Skinner. There are just too many good teams - and former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champions - in the mix to win a title by picking up a point here and a point there. (Ronda Greer Photo)

If you think your job changes day-to-day, consider that of Wood Brothers/JTG Racing crew chief John Monsam. Monsam, a seven-time winner in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, backs not one driver, but so far in 2007 has fielded entries for five different competitors. The task is daunting but Monsam has proved up to the challenge. Four of his five charges have posted top-10 finishes and the No. 21 Ford, owned by Eddie Wood, is 20th in Owner Point Standings. "Their styles are different," said Monsam. Recently, Monsam was asked to describe in a few words his charges. (VPS Motorimages Photo)

Erik Darnell, driver of the No. 99 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford F-150 was the pole sitter for last year's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway. Darnell talks about returning to Nashville and his goals for the rest of the year. "Nashville is a place that I look forward to going to, kind of like Kentucky. I have experience there before; not only in a truck and in an ARCA car, but also in a NASCAR Late Model car and I've run pretty well there. I'm looking forward to getting back to Nashville this year."
