The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series runs three races annually in the State of Tennessee at tracks in Memphis, Nashville, and Bristol. The Memphis race was run at the end of June, the Nashville race sits firmly in the middle of August and Bristol closes out August each season. Travis Kvapil picked up a controversial win at Memphis after late-race contact with Brad Keselowski, but there was no controversy on the track in Nashville as Kvapil came on strong in the final third of the Toyota Tundra 200 to go two-for-Tennessee. Combined with his win earlier in the season at Michigan, Kvapil has a trio of victories after 15 races of the 2007 season. (VPS Motorimages Photo)

Travis Kvapil was in command for the final third of the Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway and took his third victory of the season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Kvapil's Roush Fenway Racing Ford passed Mike Skinner's Bill Davis Racing Toyota for the lead on lap 103 of 150 on the outside in Turn 4 on the 1.33-mile track and led virtually the rest of the way to finish 2.403 seconds in front of runner-up Ron Hornaday. Kvapil led 47 of the final 48 laps. Ted Musgrave was credited with leading lap 111, when the leaders pitted under caution for the final time and his Toyota was pitted across the timing line and Kvapil's wasn't. (Ronda Greer Photo)

Mike Skinner served notice in yesterday's practice that he was the man to beat for the pole at Nashville Superspeedway by leading both of the full-field practice sessions for the Toyota Tundra 200. To no one's surprise, Skinner scored his eighth Bud Pole Award in qualifying for round 15 of the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race, and combined with qualifications being canceled by rain at the last race in Indianapolis it means that Skinner will roll from the pole for the ninth time so far the season. By turning a 30.061 seconds/159.635 mile per hour lap in Bill Davis Racing's No. 5 Toyota Tundra Toyota, Skinner also extends his series record for most career poles with 40. (Ronda Greer Photo)

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to action after a week off, and the teams and drivers head to Nashville Superspeedway for one of the most unique challenges they face all season long. The 1.33-mile tri-oval seems routine enough, but the concrete racing surface offers up a narrow groove and an ultra-slick surface outside that groove that often leads to problems. Last year it came down to a shootout between Todd Bodine and Mike Skinner, and when they started bumping one another on the last lap it opened the door for Johnny Benson to celebrate with the Gibson guitar on victory lane. When JC Stout and his No. 91 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team take to the track in this weekend's Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway, they will be without their rear tire carrier, Joe Szwaczkowski, Sr., due to emergency surgery. Determined on going over the wall in his place will be his sister, Patricia "Tree" Stout . In addition to being a dedicated sibling willing to step in for her ailing brother, Patricia Stout just happens to be the driver's mother. You read that right. Stout's Mom will be an over-the-wall crew member as a rear tire carrier in Nashville. (Team PR Photo)

While Mike Skinner has grabbed many of the headlines this season, Ron Hornaday Jr. has quietly matched his efficiency. Hornaday's win Friday night cut Skinner's point lead in half, leaving him 77 points out of first place. "I'm sure Skinner is going to be running twice as hard now," Hornaday said. "Don't count him out. He is still 'the guy' - he is still leading in points." The win also tied the two drivers with 13 top-10 finishes each in 14 races. Hornaday has been steadily climbing the standings since his seventh-place finish in the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. (VPS Motorimages Photo)

The late Bobby Hamilton will be remembered during the pre race show before the Toyota Tundra 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Saturday, August 11. Race fans are encouraged to wear their Bobby Hamilton paraphernalia. Bobby Hamilton played a major role at the Nashville Superspeedway, having participated in the groundbreaking ceremonies in 1999, being honored with a street named after him at the inaugural race in 2001, and winning the coveted Sam Bass designed trophy guitar in August 2004.
