With each win he oversees, Rick Ren further establishes himself as one of the top crew chiefs in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Ren is currently fourth on the all-time list with 14 victories and is tied for the series record for wins with five different drivers. Ren notched another highlight on his resume with Friday night's win at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. The 50-year-old grabbed his first victory at the 0.686-mile oval, which he considers his home track. Ren grew up approximately an hour away in Tilton, Ill., and had yet to win at the track since his first attempt in 1990. (VPS Motorimages Photo)

After dueling with Johnny Benson for well over 30 laps racing for the second position, Ron Hornaday chased down and passed leader Travis Kvapil on lap 170 and led the rest of the way to take his 32nd career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory in the Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O'Reilly Raceway Park. With the win Hornaday, driving Kevin and Delana Harvick's No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet, racked up his third win of the season and his 17th career win on a short track. In victory lane, Hornaday credited runner-up finisher Benson and their intense but clean battle for position as one of the main reasons he was able to drive to victory. (Ronda Greer Photo)

Ron Hornaday pulled away from Johnny Benson on a green-white-checkered finish to win the rain-delayed Power Stroke Diesel 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Friday at O'Reilly Raceway Park. Hornaday's victory was his third of the season and the 32nd of his career -- tops all-time in the series. He also cut Mike Skinner's points lead by more than half, from 164 to 77. Skinner finished 20th, his first race out of the top eight this season. "What an awesome race," Hornaday said. "We certainly had to race hard. We did what we came here to do. Skinner had some bad luck, but we've got to win races. Skinner is still the guy we've got to beat." (VPS Motorimages Photo)

A steady and persistent mid-afternoon shower forced the cancellation of Bud Pole Qualifying for tonight's Power Stroke Diesel 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. The 36-truck starting field for the 14th race of 2007 season has been set by the rule book, and series championship leader Mike Skinner will start the No. 5 Toyota Tundra Tundra on the pole. Skinner has earned seven poles in qualifying so far this season. With Skinner on the pole, current runner-up in the series points chase Ron Hornaday will start the No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet second. (Charles Krall/TruckSeries.com Photo)

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has been a part of the Brickyard 400 weekend in Indianapolis since the series' inception in 1995. This week, the series returns for the 13th running of the Power Stroke Diesel 200 at the venerable O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, one of the most unique and challenging short tracks in the country. Where most short tracks put emphasis on racing on the bottom and passing to the high side, ORP is the exact opposite. Its long, sweeping, flat corners put the groove right next to the retaining wall and force anyone looking to make a pass to move to the low groove. (David M. Vaughn Photo)

Like many drivers, Terry Cook found getting around the .686-mile O'Reilly Raceway Park oval a bit tricky early in his career. That is, until he found out the fast way around was all relative. "My relatives - the East family - have raced for years at O'Reilly Raceway Park in the USAC Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown cars and my father-in-law, Bob East, had a lot to do with me getting better at there," said Cook (right), who will steer the No. 59 HT Motorsports Toyota Tundra in the Power Stroke Diesel 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Clermont, IN track this Friday evening.
