Maybe it's because he worked his way up through the short track ranks, maybe it's because he earned every finish and sponsorship dollar along the way. Or, it just could be that Ron Hornaday doesn't know any other way than doing things the hard way. For instance, how else do you explain a 14th place qualifying effort turned into 24th in the running order just three laps into Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at The Milwaukee Mile? When you get into it with another truck and both go spinning, that's usually what happens. But, in typical Hornaday fashion, the two-time NCTS champion wasn't deterred or dejected. We are getting set for round 11 of the 2007 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the Toyota Tundra 200. Tonight's race marks the 13th time the Truck Series has raced here in the Milwaukee suburb of West Allis, Wisconsin. It should be a great day for racing with high temps expected to reach into the mid 70s, and once the sun goes down it should drop into the low 60s or maybe even the upper 50s. There should be intermittent sun and clouds throughout the day which should make the day all the more pleasant. We'll have all the action on the track throughout out the day covered for you, and we'll also update you on any news and notes from the garage area as well, so stick with us! The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to one of its most tradition-laden events this week, the Toyota Tundra 200 at the legendary Milwaukee Mile. The Mile is America's oldest race track, and has been on the schedule since the series inaugural season in 1995. Things have changed since then. The first race back then was just 125 laps. The series utilized the halftime break rather than live pit stops. The race was run on July 4 weekend. And it was run during the heat of the day. Now, the race is 200 miles. There are live pit stops. The race is now run a week earlier. And most noticeably, the race is now run under the lights. (Ronda Greer Photo)
