Toyota Race Notes: Loudon 09-17-2005 6:48 pm
Toyota Race Notes: Loudon "We only finished ninth, but it was a good day for us. This is still a new team. We ran up front all day. We pitted at the end for fuel because we were afraid around lap 110 that we wouldn't make it all the way. We probably could have made it, but we decided to play it safe, rather than end up sorry. We've been rolling the dice a little bit the last few races and today we decided to play it a little more conservatively. I'm really proud of my guys at Wyler Racing. I feel real good about finishing in the top-10." -Chad Chaffin (Charles Krall/TruckSeries.com Photo)

I like to think of it as a big Martinsville. To be good here you have to get off of turns two and four really good. The truck has to be set up a little free to be able to do that. Also, it takes a few laps in practice to figure out where the best grove getting off of the corner is. It seems to change each time we go back there. We need to come to a track like this to hopefully turn our luck back around." -Dennis Setzer (Ronda Greer Photo)

Montgomery, No. 18 Dodge Loudon Preview 09-13-2005 9:07 pm
“It seems like lately we have taken the ‘racing’ out of racing. The last few races it seems all we are doing is tearing up trucks. We no longer race for a position. If we want the position then we just move the person out of the way. It’s frustrating. Sometimes you feel like an egg in a frying pan. You get so hot over a situation you are on the verge of popping. But you know you can’t pop because then you have to answer to NASCAR. I think a handful of drivers don’t care anymore.

Wallace Gunning for Victory Lane at Loudon 09-13-2005 12:18 pm
Wallace Gunning for Victory Lane at Loudon He's on a roll of sorts and nearly has won this week's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway not once, but twice. That said, Mike Wallace (No. 12 Toyota Tundra Toyota) is as good a pick as any to become the track's 10th consecutive different winner. Wallace, a recent returnee to the series in the second of two Darrell Waltrip Motorsports-owned entries, fashioned back-to-back top-10 finishes at Bristol Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway. That, after the team went 12 races without a finish higher than 18th. The veteran from St. Louis, tapped by owner Darrell Waltrip to replace Robert Huffman in early August, hasn't been in the series fulltime since 2000, the season he drove Jim Smith's Ultra Motorsports Ford to its second runnerup finish at NHIS. Craven Looks Forward to Going Home to New Hampshire 09-13-2005 11:59 am
Craven Looks Forward to Going Home to New Hampshire "If there were a track on the circuit where I wished we raced more it would be New Hampshire.  When I go home and race there that is a treat.  The cool nights, being around my family and friends and cracking lobsters are some to the things I enjoy about it.  The fact that I have always liked the track as a competitor does not hurt either.  I always felt I had a slight home court advantage over the other drivers because I have run so many laps there, and I use that to my advantage." -Ricky Craven (Ronda Greer Photo)

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Preview: Loudon New Hampshire International Speedway will be looking for its 10th consecutive different race winner on Saturday. It is the third track to bid for No. 10. Neither Texas Motor Speedway nor The Milwaukee Mile reached that number thanks to repeat wins, respectively, by Brendan Gaughan (No. 77 Jasper Engines & Transmissions Dodge) in 2002 and Musgrave in 2004. Homestead-Miami Speedway, site of the season-ending Ford 200 on Nov. 18, also has hosted nine series races without a repeat winner. (Ronda Greer Photo)
