Time to Start Points Racing for Hamilton
“I’ve been telling the media and fans this whole year that with five races left in the season, I would start points racing. I wanted a bigger cushion that what I have at this point, so I’m still going to be out for the wins. Edwards Heads to Texas with Truck that Won at Kansas
"The race in June started out where we were about a 30th-place truck. We just guessed wrong on the setup. Cowboy (Kevin Starland) and I came up with some stuff that morning that didn't work. It was an awkward race. It seemed like things got so strung out and it was one of those marathon events. We actually got the truck pretty good at the end, and if we had it like that from the beginning we would have been OK, it just took us the whole race to get it there."

Wood No. 50 Ford, Pre Race Review: Texas
"We weren't really happy with how we ran at Texas in June. We struggled with the handling all night and never got it quite right. That last run we started out really loose and ended up really tight. We made adjustments, but by then it was too late to get back to where we needed to be.

Why do you ask? “We came here to Texas in the spring and ran extremely well but unfortunately had a rear end gear give way,” said Cook, a five-time winner in the NCTS.

Chase Montgomery, No. 8 Dodge Pre-Race Review: Texas
“This one has been marked on my calendar since the first race back in June. We tested here with a manufacturers test here early in the year but for some reason we were a little off when we came back for the race. We hit on it late in that race and I think we will come off the trailer this time around very strong.

Blake Mallory, No. 35 Chevy Pre-Race Report: Texas
“We are going to have to qualify on speed, we do not have any provisionals. I have qualified a truck on speed at Texas Motor Speedway in the past, and I feel that I will be able to do so again. I feel the truck that is being prepared is superior to the equipment I have raced in the past.”

Chad Chaffin Gives Team A on Report Card
“Confidence plays a huge part in racing. The team has to have confidence in the driver and the driver has to have confidence in the team. It has to be the perfect equation. When I start a race I have 100 percent confidence that my team has done the best they can do to set up my truck. They have to have confidence that I can go out and win with what they have given me. The confidence level of the whole team is going to have its ups and downs."

Sprague Looks to Continue Momentum in Texas
“We are coming off a great run in California and will be running the same truck again this weekend in Texas. We tested very well this week in Atlanta so I am very comfortable with the package we have put together to unload for Texas. Texas Victory Key to Setzer’s Championship Bid
Texas Repeat Important to Setzer’s Championship Hopes Dennis Setzer and his #46 Chevrolet Silverado race team know how important every position, in every race, is to a championship effort.  Setzer and Morgan-Dollar Motorsports finished second in the overall points in 2003, just nine points out of first place.  The point spread was the equivalent of less than two positions in the top-five, in a single race.  Setzer and his teammates have played it over in their heads numerous times.  Where had they lost ten points or where could they have been found over the course of the 2003 season.  But no team was better than Setzer and his #46 Acxiom Silverado in the final portion of last year’s season.  In the final seven races, Setzer had five top-three finishes including one win.  However, if there was one race the team felt that they stumbled, it was at the fall event at Texas Motor Speedway. Kvapil Ready for a Texas-Sized Victory
I’"m not too worried about going back to Texas after my performance there earlier this year. What happened when I crashed there in the spring was just a racing incident. I lost the air off my spoiler racing against David Starr and wrecked the truck. "

Bodine Soars to Victory in Texas
Bodine Soars to Victory in Texas Todd Bodine took the lead when Mike Skinner was struck with misfortune late in the race and won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Silverado 350 at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday.  Bodine started deep in the field and avoided all of the trouble in what was one of the roughest superspeedway races in NCTS history.  The race got off to an intense start, both at the front and in the pack.  With pole sitter Mike Skinner moving to the back of the pack due to an engine change on Friday, the front row, Bill Lester and Shane Hmiel, ran the entire lap side-by-side with Lester leading the field across the stripe.  Meanwhile, in the pack, Eric Norris’ truck faltered on the start and caused many drivers deep in the field to scramble to avoid him.  He brought his truck to pit road and went behind the wall, the first retiree of the day.  (High Sierra Photo)

Deep In The Heart of Texas
Deep In The Heart of Texas Perched high above the race track watching the race from the press box at Texas Motor Speedway gives anyone fortunate enough to do so a unique perspective on any event.  The view is unmatched as you can see every inch of the speedway.  The sounds are incredible as well as you hear the roar of the race trucks and the roar of the crowd, always one of the most vocal and boisterous in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  The thrill of watching from that vantage point was only emphasized early in the Silverado 350 when home-state favorite David Starr made a move to take over the lead.  In unison, 47,000 people rose to their feet and let loose a huge cheer of approval.  It was an electric atmosphere that almost could bring goose bumps to even a seasoned observer.
